Lovingly Made. Ludicrously Tasty…
Did you know that the village of Bolton-le-Sands has been associated with fishing as far back as the 13th century.
Packet Bridge Fish and Chips is not quite that old, opening its doors over fifty years ago and today is nothing less than an institution, familiar to locals, and a very popular stopping place for visitors.
With Cihan and Jennifer Oktem at the helm since 2008, we’ve gained a reputation for true freshness.
For example our Cod & Haddock is fished in the ice cold waters of the Barents Sea in Norway, where the stocks are really healthy, growing in numbers and certified sustainable. It’s frozen within 3 hours of being caught; it doesn’t get much fresher than that.
What makes our fish and chips so good? We prepare our own chips and we fry everything in fresh to order. And it’s our batter that really makes the difference, creating a light, crisp, full-flavoured batter shell in which to steam the fresh cod or haddock with weekly specials such as sea bass and hake.
Eating our fish and chips is comforting and deliciously tasty and the stuff that memories of made of so pop in next time you’re feeling peckish.
Since February 2008.
Packet Bridge Fish & Chips has gone from strength to strength developing staff through the KFE School of Frying Excellence, becoming a member of the National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF).
